The Black Chili XC is a modern multi-lap cross country mountain bike race, where spectators will have a front row seat to all of the sizzling action! Riders will complete multiple laps of a 3.6 mile course on Mt. Holiday. There will be single track, loose gravel road, and a variety of terrain to tackle that will include plenty of climbing and descending, with open sections for passing safely. Along with two Feed Zones for grabbing a bottle or fixing a tire.
Choose either the full three lap dirt and vert race for the big lugs and the running brave hearts. Or one lap of the full Dirty Des course for a taste of the dirty, gravel and forest trails. In the midst of turning Fall leaves and a view of Lake Michigan. The Dirty Des course is a true multi-terrain course designed for runners, and encompassed in the woods of Mt. Holiday. The Dirty Des course is 2.5 miles long, with 420' of gain. Spectators and fan clubs will be at the center of the action from the start/finish line and able to view almost a mile of each lap without having to move. A unique twist on running pursuit and adventure, co-hosted with Boston marathon champion, Des Linden.

A 50 mile multi-terrain course that's not for the faint of heart. Combining pavement, gravel, single track, and dirt road sectors sure to give riders an adventure within a race. Under numerous tunnels of color changing trees.
